Khangsung Face Trek

The Kangshung Face Trek is a remarkable, off-the-beaten-path journey into the heart of Everest’s eastern grandeur. It blends breathtaking visuals, challenging terrain, and rich Tibetan culture — ideal for well-prepared trekkers seeking a unique Himalayan adventure. The Khangsung Face (also spelled Kangshung Face) is the eastern face of Mount Everest, located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is one of the three main faces of Everest, the others being the North Face (Tibet) and South-West Face (Nepal). The Khangsung Face is the remote and wild eastern wall of Mount Everest, characterized by towering cliffs, massive glaciers, and severe mountaineering challenges. It is the least accessible and least climbed face, making it a symbol of Everest’s raw and rugged side. It has an historical and climbing significance of photography and documented by sir George Mallory during the British 1921 Everest reconnaissance Expedition and it considered the most remote and dangerous face of Everest for climbing due to the avalanches and unstable snow. This trek offers amazing view of eastern flank of Mt Everest overlooking the khangsung Glacier. Trekkers choose this trek for its isolation and ultimate experiences beyond the typical Everest base camp. Our itineraries are flexible and can be customized according to your desire, physical fitness level and time frame.

Highlights
